What is the Foothills Fellowship Youth Group? Print E-mail
The Youth Group, a segment of the youth program of Foothills Fellowship, is a ministry dedicated to the mandate given to the young man Timothy by the Apostle Paul: "Let no one look down on your youthfulness, but rather in speech, conduct, love, faith and purity, show yourself an example of those who believe... giving attention to the reading of scripture, to exhortation and teaching". (I Timothy 4:12,13)

To achieve this end, we strive as a group, to:

  • Provide or strengthen a lasting foundation of faith and doctrine in each student who comes through the ministry.
  • Encourage, through regular Bible study, a comprehensive knowledge of Scripture.
  • Challenge each one to cultivate a personal relationship with Christ through individual discipleship and personal spiritual growth.
  • Facilitate fellowship, unity within the Body, and outreach, through various events and activities.
  • Stimulate each student to live beyond the expectations and stereotypes usually associated with "teenagers".
  • Provide various opportunities for the youth to practically live out their faith in the local community, the city of Denver, and around the world.

Our ultimate desire for the youth who are a part of our ministry is to see each one individually grow spiritually to the point where they are drawn outside of themselves and the comfort of the Body, to become ministers themselves and impact lives in their culture, and others, for the Glory of God and the advancement of His Kingdom.

The Youth Group at Foothills Fellowship is a great place for junior and senior high school age young people to join with their peers--whether they are seeking discipleship, ministry opportunities, growth, fellowship, or simply seeking, there is something for everyone.
